For all our products the minimum resolution should be at least 300dpi

If in doubt send us what you have, and if there is an issue with the file we shall be in touch with you. There isn’t a standard template / format per say for designing. We would need your artwork, desired fold and size of the label. With that one of us here will be in touch with you with a mockup showing all the details for your approval or edits.

Here are some details to consider adding on a Label

Labels are generally meant to be small and unobtrusive. That calls for a compromise between the available space and the text that needs to fit in there while still keeping it legible. Hence it is important to strictly stick to the vital details to be included on the label. Given below are a few items that could help you design your label.

Brand Logo & Name

The Logo and Name of your clothing line / business. Copyright or trademark symbol could be added if you have one registered.

Slogan

If you have a slogan you could add that to get the message out.

Garment Size

There are two ways to add sizing to your garment. You can include the size on the main label tucked in a visible spot. Under the logo, top middle, bottom middle are widely opted spots. This method is ideal to keep the number of labels sewn to the minimum and gives a professional touch. The only flip side being, you have to maintain proper inventory of your labels so you don’t run out of a specific size at a time of need.

The second option is to order the main labels by itself without the sizes and additionally get the small size labels too. The seamstress has to sew them both together in one pass. This is easier and economical giving you the flexibility to use them on a wide range of products.

Fabric Composition

Outlining the fabric composition on your label is vital for the care of the garment. If they are made of multiple fibres, it would be best to describe them.
If your brand carries garments with varying fabric composition, you might have to make different set of labels to go on them accordingly.

Website URL

The URL of your website is a useful piece of information to include on the label. You can omit “www.” which allows for more space for the actual website making is legible.

"Made-In" Information

Most users are now a days very curious about where the actual garment is made and under what conditions. In some countries it is mandatory to add this for resale and export so that would be wise to add.

RN / CA number

If you have a registered RN / CA number be sure to include that.

Additional Points to Ponder to help create an awesome label:

  • We can do a maximum of 12 colors plus the ground color in a single label. It is important to note that each color will be a thread. Hence more the colors, thicker the label will be!
  • Our maximum size of the label is 10 Inch
  • Letters should have a minimum height of 1.5mm to turn out legible
  • Avoid using gradient colors as it is not feasible
  • If you are adding centerfold or end folds to your design, use a black or gray dotted line
  • Seam Allowance: You can add a standard 1/4″ or  7mm sewing allowance to your design or if you need more, you can increase the blank space in your canvas
  • Print it out first: Design your label and print it out at the real label size. If all elements are legible, then it will most likely be legible in the woven format. What you see is what you get.
  • Keep it simple : A good design is simple and reduced to the basic information with enough space around the logo and border. Keep the numbers of colors and font type as low as possible.

 We are here to help
