As the name says, your artwork or text is directly printed on to the label using a Flexographic print method. The colors are vibrant and even the minute detail gets printed with precision.
Tafetta / Satin Acetate Printed:
Taffeta or Satin Acetate printed labels are printed on a nylon based material. This material is synthetic and has the look and feel of synthetic paper. These are the labels that you would see in furniture, pillows and soft toys. They are non-tearable, sturdy and can withstand a lot of washes. It holds printed ink better than cotton material. These labels are popular for their excellent durability (withstands harsh treatment) and affordable price thus making them ideal for simple wash care labels.
Satin Printed
Satin printed labels are the most sought after label for infant clothing and lingerie. They are ideal when you have small detailed artwork / logo requiring clarity. These labels are extremely soft with flexible corners and is not scratchy when in contact with the skin. On the downside sometimes a harsh laundry detergent or bleach could fade them after few washes. Even if the washing didn’t wear them out, other factors like skin oil and regular wear and tear can cause the printed label to fade over time.
Woven Edge Satin Printed
They are the same as satin printed but the edges are neatly finished with a woven pattern. They are very smooth against the skin and are ideal for baby clothing and lingerie. This is an added feature to the satin printed label.
Cotton / Twill Printed
Our cotton printed labels are known for their superior quality, fine details and durability. 100% cotton base is used for printing these labels. They are soft and hold up to washing very well. We supply these labels in roll or folded form. If you cut them and sew as a straight heat cut label, once sewn on the garment, they fray (2 sides will fray), giving it a more natural casual look. If you insert these labels in a seam and sew them as center folded labels, they do NOT fray. You can choose from natural ivory raw cotton or a bleached white for the ground color. We can also dye the cotton to any color that you require. Alternatively we do make 100% cotton canvas base printing. The fabric is 100% cotton and has a tight weave. The look is very similar to that of an artist’s painting canvas. We can supply them in any type of fold. Straight heat cut labels will fray on two sides and if you insert them in a seam as a center fold label, they do NOT fray. These labels exhibit a natural casual, worn look. Yet another green option.

Woven labels are the most popular and widely chosen labels. They are made using rapier weaving looms. These looms weave polyester yarns called warp and weft to re-create the logo into the label. The label comes out of the machine in roll form which is later cut by thermic cutters or laser. The edges of the label automatically get sealed during this cutting process. The laser cut prevents the label from fraying. Woven labels are very durable, launders better in the long run (than printed label), and is also soft on the skin. Additionally, even an intricate artwork will convert into a beautiful woven label.

The most common type of woven labels is Polyester damask. Damask is a very tight weave made of several strands of yarn resulting in a thick durable label. The yarn comes in an array of colors, making color matching with your artwork an easy job. We use either 50 denier or 100 denier yarn depending on the complexity of the artwork. The word “denier” refers to the size of the thread. Lower the denier, higher the precision and softer the quality. 100 Denier Damask is a perfect combination of affordability and softness and is widely used for most labels. 50 denier yarn on the other hand is ideal for intricate artwork. It offers extreme softness and superior clarity to details.

They tend to be scratchy when in contact with the skin and so it is not suggested for use as a neck tag or for baby clothing. It is more suitable for outerwear or accessories. On the positive side they are cost effective and highly durable too
